I feel incredibly lucky to be teaching at Highlands Elementary! This year marks my 23rd year in education, and I truly can’t imagine doing anything else. Over the years, I’ve had the joy of teaching students from Pre-K through 3rd grade, and each age has brought its own kind of magic.

I earned my degree in Biology from the University of Northern Colorado and later went on to complete my Master’s in Learning Design and Technology from the University of Colorado Denver. Both experiences helped shape my love for learning and my belief in the power of creative, student-centered education.

My favorite parts of teaching include laughing, loving, and learning with my students—but most of all, helping to create curious and empowered learners who believe in themselves, even in the hardest of times. I also deeply value building strong, connected classroom communities with both students and families.

Outside of school, my husband and I live with our two black lab girls, who we absolutely adore and treat like our children. We love spending time with friends and family, playing games, and doing just about anything outdoors.

I’m more than excited to learn, grow, and make new memories with our amazing community this year.
