I am thrilled to join the Highlands community as your child’s new fourth grade teacher! It is my hope that my passion for teaching and learning will help make this transition seamless and exciting for both you and your child. My overarching goal is to inspire curiosity and questioning in a classroom community built on mutual respect, responsibility, accountability, and integrity.

I moved to Erie in August 2021 from Dallas, Texas and immediately started teaching fourth grade at Soaring Heights PK8. Incidentally, last school year I piloted the revised fourth grade language arts curriculum that all St. Vrain campuses are using this year. Over the last decade I have taught fourth, first, and second grades and served as an instructional coach to help good teachers become great teachers.

I view parents and caregivers as essential partners in the learning and growing process. I plan to communicate regularly, and I hope you will be comfortable reaching out to me with any questions or concerns regarding your child’s academic or social needs. I want us to work together and make positive changes because your child’s success is paramount.
