My name is Mrs. Kelly Sprague and I will be your 1st grade teacher!

You can say my last name “Spray-g”.

After majoring in Curriculum and Instruction at Texas State University, I taught in the Austin, Texas area for 5 years before moving to Colorado.

I taught in Golden for 10 years before making the move to Highlands.

I am thrilled to get to know our new class and families!

This will be my 18th year teaching Fantastic Firsties!

Our incredible support of our Highlands community is one of the things I am most excited about this school year. Know that I will always do my best to make our learning engaging, rigorous, and meaningful. First grade is truly my passion. The growth that students make during this special year of school is magical. Their sense of wonder, curiosity about the world around them, and love for each other are just some of the reasons why I love to spend my days in first grade. Thank you for sharing your most precious people with me. I know this will be a wonderful time together!

I live in Erie with my husband Kevin, and two daughters. As a family, we love hiking, camping, skiing, and seeing live music!
