Bio

I am a Colorado native, and I graduated from CSU in 2012 with my degree in Human Development and Family Studies, as well as my certification in both Early Childhood and Elementary Education. I also completed my Master’s degree in Learning Design and Technology in December 2021.   The most important thing to me is building a strong relationship with each student and using this as a foundation to create a kind and supportive classroom community together. I also love helping students set challenging goals and working to achieve them. My favorite part of teaching is encouraging kids to ask questions and be curious.   Outside of teaching, I spend most of my time with my husband, Jake, and our sweet kitty, Junimo. I love finding ways to relax with my family and friends. Some of my favorite ways are: spending time in the sun, getting absorbed in a good book, growing vegetables in my garden, and catching up on movies or TV shows. I am always excited to learn or try something new, so I hope you share your passions with me!
