My name is Alexia Peterson and I am very excited to be the School Counselor at Highlands Elementary School! I received my Masters in School Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado in 2019 and have been a School Counselor at the elementary level for two years! I have a passion for working with students on developing their social emotional skills in a way that allows them to tackle any challenges they may face and that helps them be successful in all areas of their lives! I am excited to be able to help grow a new school community and to get to know our families! Outside of school, I love spending time with friends and family, going on adventures, challenging myself to try new things, and anything that allows me to get outside in nature!
