Students in grades K–5 have been practicing self-esteem superpowers in counseling lessons with Mrs. McGregor! They’re learning how to use positive self-talk and recognize their strengths. At home, you can keep the fun going—challenge your child to notice the good, say kind things to themselves, and see if they can outshine the negative thoughts with positive ones each day!

As the weather cools down, our Lost and Found is starting to fill up! Please take a moment to label your child’s belongings—jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, hats, and any other items they bring to school. Clearly labeled items make it easy for us to return them quickly to their owners. Thank you for helping us keep our Lost and Found from overflowing!

Every day counts when it comes to learning! Consistent attendance helps students build strong routines, stay connected with their classmates, and keep up with important lessons. Please make sure your child arrives on time each morning and stays for the full day whenever possible.
If your child will be absent, remember to call or email the attendance office at 303-702-8040 or [email protected] to let us know the reason and length of absence. Together, we can help every student succeed one day at a time!

Material Fees
This is a reminder that a ten-dollar materials fee has been assigned to all students at the beginning of the school year. These fees directly support various student activities and resources at our school, enriching their educational experience.
In past years, these funds have contributed to our Exploratorium activities, grade-level educational magazines, science projects, and other specialized programs that benefit all students. We appreciate your support in making these valuable resources and activities possible. Payment can be made in Infinite Campus. Thank you to those who have already paid these fees.

We have been having unseasonably warm weather but the cold is just around the corner. Please make sure your students are dressed appropriately for the sudden changes of warm to cold that happen in the fall. For those who are new, and a reminder to our community, we have included our weather policy which is in our Highlands Parent Code of Conduct.
“Recess is an integral part of the school day and all students will be expected to participate. Students should wear clothing and shoes appropriate for outside play. Students can be excused from recess with a doctor’s note.
Children will go outside for recess unless there is excessive precipitation, lightning or if the temperature falls below 15 degrees (temperature + wind chill)”
Student Fees & Payments

You can pay school fees through either Revtrak or Infinite Campus.
- Revtrak: For field trips, class shirts, and special classroom supplies (like music recorders).
- Infinite Campus: For materials fees, iPad insurance, and preschool tuition.
